Firstly hello and thanks for all the useful information you have here! I have done my research and have come to the choice of the two said TV's. Other than the price, I'm interested in knowing the differences between the picture quality and overall performance of the two.

I understand the Samsung can suffer from some bleeding/clouding and the viewing angles are not too great but other than that I know little in the differences. I cannot get much help over here in the U.K as very few people have TV screens this size, and frankly these are the two biggest and best we can get over here at the moment!

Any help would be much appreciated and if you guys would recommend one over the other and why, that would be a huge help in terms of picture quality and longevity (the expansion pack on the Samsung is a big bonus for me). Here are the U.K links to the two sets (I know we get screwed on the price!):

Thank you.

Have you read the customer reviews at the bottom of these pages?

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN75F8000-75-Inch-1080p-240Hz/dp/B00BCGRLV2/ref=sr_1_10?s=tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1373028969&sr=1-10

http://www.amazon.com/Sharp-LC-80LE857-80-inch-Aquos-Quattron/dp/B00BU94TV6/ref=sr_1_13?s=tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1373029051&sr=1-13

CNET did a review on the Samsung; no review on the Sharp yet:

http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/samsung-un75f8000/4505-6482_7-35576125.html

I presume you're wondering whether the Samsung is worth the price (almost 50% more than the Sharp)? tongue.gif

[EDIT] And of course there are dedicated threads for those models. Have you had a look at them?

Thank you for your reply. I know pretty much all there is to know about the Samsung, we just have very little information on this sharp model. So really I just would like to know the sharp side a little more if possible. I've read/watched all reviews on the Samsung.

Also yes I have read the reviews on amazon too but was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the differences they have had with the two models.
