First off I want to make it clear that I am a plug and play kind of guy and this is my first HDTV. I'm lost! smile.gif

I just unboxed a new Sony Bravia R45 and I am having trouble getting the picture to look good. I can get it close but all the items that are supposed to be red on the screen are very dark. I know that the TV's color is fine because when I plugged in flash drive and looked at pictures they appeared clear with no variation in color.

Does anyone have any advice on this? Thanks in advance. smile.gif

So we know the flash drive input is ok, but you didn't say which inputs don't look ok. If you have something connected via the component input I would check the red (Pr) input connection.

I have the TV set up through the component inputs. I'll check those as suggested. Thanks If that doesn't work in my favor I was thinking about hooking up the cable via HDMI.

Thank you smile.gif

Thread moved to proper forum.

Walking the fine line between jaw-dropping and a plain ol' yawn.
