Hi everyone! I just purchased my first tv and I want to mount it on the wall. I am weary about mounting it and wanted to get a recommendation on your experiences with mounting this 60 inch tv. I don't have a TON of money or I would just buy the most expensive mount out there to ensure its the best. I don't want to go with the cheapest version either (there's one on Amazon for 25$ that has a very high rating). Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Amy

I would look at monoprice.com and buy the cheapest mount that has the functions i need.
If you are more comfortable Amazon then $25 seems like a fair price. Using the proper construction techniques when mounting to the wall will be far more important that the mount that is used.

I saw that there are two different kinds, one with an open back and one with a full panel back. Are the ones with the panel backing sturdier? I saw a comment someone left saying not to buy the kind with an open back. But it was only one person...

Once it is mounted are you going to be touching it very often? I've only used the tilt type and once adjusted i never have needed to move the tvs so it doesnt seem to be of much concern. If you are getting the type that telescopes out and swings 90- 180 degrees then that may be an issue but since you said $25 i figured it was just a basic mount w/tilt.smile.gif
