I can not get my Sharp Elite to turn on. Whan I try to power it up, I only get a BLINKING blue light. The solid blue light will not come on. Need help?

It sounds like a Bad Capacitor in the main board. There is nothing you can do about it. I would unplug it and Give Elite Service a call.

This Video kinda explains it?!?

is there a pattern to the blinking blue light? Does it blink fast 4-5 and 2 slower blinks? When this happened to me I could see a looping pattern with the blinking light and relayed this to sharp. They said the pattern of blinks was caused by a handshake issue with my cable box to the elite. I unplugged both units, then turned the TV on then the cable box and it came back up. I have this issue periodically, maybe 2 times every 6 months. Hope this helps
