Looking at getting a new tv for the living room. Wanted a 60" and to stay in the $1K range. I narrowed it down to two TV's but im having a hard time deciding.
This is not the main movie watching tv since i do have a theater room in the basement.

The first is a sharp and its the size i want but is missing the amazon streaming that we use
Sharp LC-60LE650

Second is a Panasonic, its $100 cheaper on amazon and has amazon streaming but is a 58". Not sure how much the smaller size will matter.
Panasonic TC-L58E60

The research iv done so far leads me to believe the Panasonic has a better picture then the sharp, not that im overly concerned about that.
I did notice that the Sharp says it has a dual core processor so the apps are faster but i didn't see the Panasonic say anything anywhere about
there's and i didn't see anyone complain in the reviews about it being slow etc.?

Info, advice and opinions

I've been looking at both of those as well (plus some others a little smaller - Samsung 55" f6300 for example) and I'm leaning toward the Panasonic.

Its not quite a 60" but a step above a 55 and a big step above my current 50. The reviews have been a little more favorable. I have no use for 3d so it seems a good fit.

The Panasonic doesn't have very good reviews on the Panasonic web page. Personally if a device can't manage to get a favorable rating on its own web site I'm going to mark it off my list. FWIW the only Panisonic TV I've ever owned is a 720p CRT 32" that is 10yrs old and still looks as good as it looked the day it was bought. So no bias.

Take a look at the reviews on Amazon. 90 out of 100 reviewers give it 4 or 5 stars. The perfect TV for one person will not be for someone else. There are lots of factors to consider. You may want to also check out the reviews of this TV on PCMag.com and lcdtvbuyingguide.com for additional information and opinions.
