Anyone have suggestions for optimum connections with the following components that doesn't confuse the remote controls and allows for one of the remote controls to be used for the basic functions of all the components?

I'm trying to connect the F8000 TV to a DirecTV receiver; a Samsung Blu Ray player; and a Sony PS3 thru a Sony STR-DN1040 receiver.

I would use hdmi personally (using a PN59D8000, DirecTV, PS3 in my main setup so similar to yours). I use a Harmony 600 with that setup and no particular issues, and no particular issues before I got the Harmony aside from too many remotes.
