HI People,

I just purchased the 60" E601i-A3.  I totally love the unit and have no major issues with it.  I was setting up the TV and ran across a strange problem.  When I go into the menu I noticed that I cannot select Closed Captioning.  I am a big fan of using closed captioning because I work from home and like to turn on this feature when I am on a teleconference.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and have a quick fix?

Thanks

Dan

I had the same issue. Apparently, if you are hooked up to a cable box via HDMI then you need to use yuor cable box functions for CC. If you are hooked up directly to your cable service via coaxial cable then the CC menu functions on the remote and TV menu are supposed to work. However I have yet to test that out for myself. That is what I read on the Vizio website. I did in fact turn on CC via my Comcast DVR cable box. I guess that is normal? I'm not sure. It would be nice to simply press the CC button on my Vizio remote to turn CC on and off quickly instead of getting into my on screen cable box function s.
