Last night I was planning to watch some "Game Of Thrones" using my HBO Go app on the Samsung Smart Hub. I selected the app and the program played for about 5 minutes, and the screen went black. After waiting a few minutes for something to happen I went back to the Smart Hub and all my apps that came with the TV were gone. Only the web browser app remained. All the other app windows were blank. I tried powering the TV off then on again to see if they would come back, no dice. This morning when I got up I turned it on and I had the top row of apps back plus the web browser. All the other apps "including HBO Go" are still missing. I have "Netflix" and "Amazon Instant Video" in the top row, and when I clicked on them to test...they both seemed to work fine. What can I do to get the rest of my apps back. I would really like to get my "HBO Go" back, since I subscribed to HBO on Directv just to be able to use the HBO Go app.

I am starting to wonder if my TV is defective. I have only had it since July. I have also been having an audio issue with it where the volume goes up and down randomly (especially when watching sporting events). I posted here about it a few weeks back but never got much of a response. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Maybe try a reset from within the main menu system. I read a few people were having app issues after Samsung's maintenance last week. Otherwise you should be able to redownload the apps individually but I would go for a full reset personally. Just write down your picture settings first if you did any calibration.
