in the settings option, there is a setting football mode with a on and off switch... football mode is probably also on your remote, lowest row.

Does anyone know if Amazon Prime UHD is working for the Samsung F9000 yet? I read somewhere that it was coming early this year.

It definitely works if you have the SEK-2500U (2014 UHD Kit). I forget if the original one connect was capable of receiving the Netflix and Amazon 4K streaming.

Yes, I have the SEK-2500U and Netflix works fine in 4K, I just didn't know if there are any 4K titles on Amazon yet. Thanks

Yes, they have a UHD "icon" on the Amazon Prime home page. Probably more available than on Netflix. Maybe 6-7 original programming series or programs, 3-4 movies and some shorts. Also, they have quite a few "pay" movies. Altogether, 25 or so selections.

They are all under a uhd section. Also go look for Amazon Originals. Most of them are available in 4k

So if I search for "uhd", it shows me Transparent, Angels and Demons and Spider-Man 2, but they are still labelled as just HD. There are no titles actually listed with UHD. Are these working OK on your F9000?

I have UHD labels on top left corners of cover images. And a separate UHD banner on front page of Amazon app.
Do you have the latest app version? What region are you using? US? UK? DE?

It's the only version of the app I can see, Amazon Instant Video. There are definitely no UHD labels anywhere. Is it possible to delete those apps and re-install them?

Ah-ha, figured it out. I didn't realise you could update the apps... which I have now done and it's working. I can now see all the UHD titles in Amazon! Thanks for your help all.

I have had 1230 (US Firmware) for awhile on my set. No clue what it does, probably just bug fixes, but I haven't noticed any differences.

So today my F9000 (w/ SEK 2500 OCB) decides that it will turn off by itself about 30 seconds after power up (it was also switching to HDMI4 from HDMI3). Anyone else have this issue? I'm out of warranty aside from BB Geek Squad protection plan (3rd party tech is coming out Monday). Tried a factory reset, was painful as the set up guide was interrupted by many automatic shut downs. Obviously it didn't take care of the issue.

If they replace the mainboard, how reliable is it? Wondering if I should look to the JS8500 now instead and retire the F9000 if they can't fix it. Although if they do fix it, not sure how long it'll last? Can't believe this TV didn't even make it more than 18 months.....

Bit by the upgrade bug, limited by the WAF

It's caused by the software update Samsung just put out to all these TV's. Mine is broke too, same as yours. Samsung is supposedly working on a fix and hope to have it within 48 hours but how it will be updated remains a mystery because the TV won't stay on. Don't pay for service yet because there is no fix at this point.

Warning - do not let Samsung update the software to the latest version. It will break your TV and cause it to power off after being on for 60 seconds. This is a USA software bug. Not sure about other countries. I have the F9000 TV with the SEK-2500U One Connect box.

They just responded a few minutes ago and told me my TV would have to be serviced in person to fix it. I can't believe it. All because of a software update they pushed out online to my TV.

Odd though, there was no firmware update this week unless it was the one from a while ago. I'm not sure how it could be fixed other than service. I managed to do a reset, still was shutting off.

I'm glad they test on US people before releasing new firmware in EU ;-)

Unfortunately I'm afraid the same firmware will be released in Europe too, in a week or so... So everyone should disable automatic update.

I think it is up under the un65hu9000 but if your TV already updated to the current one then you are pretty much out of luck. No way to install the previous version over the newer version that I know of.
