Hey guys,

I don't see a thread about this new 2014 Samsung Smart TV yet, so here it is.

Samsung won a bunch of of CES Innovation awards, and in their Korean press released made mention of a previously unknown 2014 LED LCD model, the F7100 series, or more specifically the UN65H7100.

It has a quad core processor and "real 240Hz panel" with no ghosting.

http://www.hdtv-news.com/samsung/h-series-2014-led-series/

So now we know the 2014 models will be "H" models, skipping the letter "G" for some reason...

No motion blur...

Son of a! I just bought an expensive F-series this year when I knew I should have waited! I bet the H-series is using a backlight strobing/LightBoost-like feature to achieve that. The effect on high refresh rate monitors is amazing. I guess I'll hold off buying a second TV this year.

I wonder if the evolution kit can somehow add in that feature for the 2013 sets.

Yeah I'm thinking backlight strobing / black frames also. Not sure that the evolution kit will add features like that, I'm thinking they're keeping it more for a software / appearance upgrade. No doubt it will upgrade the 2013 smart hut to the 2014 hub, hopefully more!

Can't wait!,,, bought 75f6400 and returned it due to pix out. Now consider the H7100 ... I just don't get why going from 65f7100 which $2000 to 75F7100 JUMPS to $4000 that's double in price?!? All I can think of that they don't have a 4K in the 75 and is why price is holding high?

Does anyone have any insight into when the new H Series systems will be available?  I imagine there is a lot activity around the 2014 CES event but historically, when has Samsung released their new HDTV Product line each year?

Most years the TVs will start to become available in stores around late February. The flagship models usually take a little longer so I wouldn't expect to see the H7100 or H8000 until late March. Then from there, it takes about a month or two for the sales to start.

From what I remember the larger sizes and higher end models don't come out till May with a few in late April. It's the entry level models and small sizes that start to appear in late February and March.

Perfect I will be in the market mid to late April so that will work out well to either pick up a H7100 if they are enough of a step up from the F series and or get a cheap F series.

Does anyone know if there is a thread/post anywhere breaking down the f7100 vs the h7100 or possibly even a thread giving a rundown of the entire 2014 H line???

Ive been waiting on some other renovations to get finished so I could install my f7100 but they have ran so long I am wondering if I am better off upgrading to that H7100. Any input appreciated. Thanks
