I too am real interested in that Samsung 65". I'm curious as to whether or not it's a watered down version of the standard UN65EH6000. Since it's a Black Friday special, and not surprisingly I can't seem to find any reviews or write ups on it anywhere. Thoughts anyone?

If you just bought a Samsung LN-T5271f like me, then read the FAQ. It's very, very helpful.

I can't remember which site it was on that I was reading the FH line was supposed to get a 65'', this might be it. I'd personally go for the Samsung as it should be a Direct-lit screen vs the Vizio edge lit. Have to fight the crowd either place I guess though

I'd prefer the Samsung too, but I think that it would be easier to get the Vizio at Walmart.

Yea, i am on the same boat looking to see which ones better.

Currently i have the 55" UNEH6000 from last years Amazon deal, the PQ on this TV is simply amazing. This year i got rid of my 73" DLP in the living room and has been empty ever since so its time to replace it.

Unsure of which one to get though. Due to my experience with Samsung, i am gearing more towards the 65". The 5" extra inches is a + however i dont know about "Vizio" in regards to PQ.

I have read a couple of vague articles on this years wristbanding at Walmart. I can't tell if it applies only to "1 hour guarantee" items or to all doorbusters (70" Vizio, etc). One hint that it might not apply to the 70" Vizio is an article that states wristbanding will apply to 21 items. There just happens to be 21 "1 hour guarantee" items.

Thanks for clearing that up. It makes sense. Walmart says it is for safety, but I believe someone in Corporate realized it is counter-productive to hold people captive in line when they could be shopping. I was in the 60" Vizio line last year for five hours and one common theme in our line was how everyone would have liked to have been able to shop for other items.

Not sure if it matters to anyone in here who's looking at this 65" Samsung, but it's not a slim model, and is 4" thick. My parents have the 6300 model Smart TV in the 65", and it's a slim.

If you just bought a Samsung LN-T5271f like me, then read the FAQ. It's very, very helpful.

The FH or EH means it's Direct-lit, so yes, it'll be deeper. Still only talking 4 inches or less and the stand is what, 11" deep?

do you guys know what the difference is between the BB one and this Amazon one? From what I know, the E = 2012, F = 2013 so the BB one "should" be newer, but of course if nothing has changed, I might just spend the $100 and get it from Amazon shipped free.

If the 65" is like the 60" FH - it will not have an audio or optical out option. The EH does. FWIW.

Based on that alone I would rather have the EH model for an extra $100. I wouldn't think there is any real difference other than that.

that sucks! I have an old receiver without HDMI, so I rely on the TV to send the audio to the receiver! bummer.

Anybody get a 70" Vizio ? I waited about 1 hour + and got in about 8:40 PM for the 8 PM sale, but the Vizio was all gone (wonder how many most stores had -- like 2 ? 3? mad.gif ).

Alot of people were upset the larger TVs were all gone. They had plenty of smaller stuff like iPods and iPads, and smaller-sized TVs, but NOT the big ones.

Too bad...coulda bought alot of good will if they had them in stock. wink.gif

Amazon lightning deals are time and quantity special sales that you can see up to 24 hours before they go live and only last a couple hours once they are. From the Amazon home page you just need to click on the 'todays deals' link at the top (or the black friday / cyber monday banner link right now)
