I have an LG 55LA5500 TV and a Pioneer VSX-1122 receiver. I have an Xbox, PS4, and a Cable box connected to my receiver. When I connect my receiver to my TV's HDMI1, it will not transmit any signal to my TV. However, HDMI2 and 3 work absolutely fine. However, when I connect my Xbox or PS4 to HDMI1, they work fine.

Why is my AV receiver refusing to transmit video to the HDMI1 input? Is it because of the ARC feature on the HDMI1 input? The weird thing is, the ARC feature works when I do connect to HDMI1 and use Smart TV features.

Have you turned ARC on in the receivers HDMI setup menu?

Yes. Whether it is on or off, it does not impact the issue. It is currently on because I like using the ARC features with my Smart TV's apps. But I just cannot send video upstream from my receiver to my TV.

Try a different HDMI cable? How long is the one you are using? If all else fail use optical audio out of TV and connect to one of the other HDMI ports.

I bought a new set of HDMI cables from the store and even those did not help. Ugh! I may just buy a different receiver.

Many ARC protocols are only capable between devices from the same manufacturer. HDMI was intended to be the ultimate interface for digital and audio devices but many control functions or Dolby info from the original source.

Check and/or change the video resolution(s) settings in the Pioneer. Perhaps you're trying to send a video resolution that the TV's HDMI input doesn't support.

(refer to page 60 in the Pioneer manual)

Just a thought...
Have you contacted Pioneer support to ask why the HDMI video output doesn't work? If it's not a setup/setting problem, maybe the HDMI out port is bad on the Pioneer.
