I disagree. Sitting in front of a 28" 4K monitor would be MUCH more immersive than 12' from a 65". Not to mention, it just isn't comfortable trying to use a mouse and keyboard on the couch. Add to that, the impracticality of the Windows/Mac interface in 4K resolution from that distance. Maybe you'll see a small migration if the Steam Box catches on, but no major industry shifts without substantial changes.

You don't have to sit 12 feet from a 65 inch tv with 4k.
4k let's you sit a lot closer and I would have a much bigger set than 65.I guess you use your play station 4 on a 28 inch monitor? Yea nice! I guess?

Got a question on OLED, how bad is the burn in? I read that they do have burn in. I remember when Plasma came out, is it that bad?

4K TV's larger than 65" are still way too expensive for most. Save for the Sharp 70" I guess. If you actually had the money, you wouldn't be saying "I would". Was the PS4 comment an attempt at an insult? I was referring to the new 28" 4K computer monitors. We were talking about PC gaming, correct? Yeah, that's what I thought. You're an idiot.

If my phones are anything to go by, OLED still has lots of room for improvement. My new model is holding up better, but it still has the early signs of perma burn that will only get more obvious over time.

Are the Samsung AMOLED screens the same tech as OLED or is it something totally different?

Just responding in kind. BTW, I wouldn't really consider a 70" "much bigger" than a 65".

I don't know. 5" extra adds a lot. (TWSS).

Yes, I posted this simply to make that joke.

Our demo unit that Chad wrote a review on and spent 15 hours with, is in my personal home. There are no issues, except it is not big enough. It is breath taking. If you have thought in the past nothing can be better than this TV or that TV, you are wrong biggrin.gif This unit is the best display devise ever created on planet Earth.

The same tech as their TVs... Vizio's TVs are using a different technology.

There is no difference in HDMI cables. If you can see the picture without visible dropouts or sparklies, the cable is working at 100%. No other cable will display a better version of that picture. You're simply wrong if you think there is a better digital cable than one that is already working.

Oh, I can see burn in as an issue then. Seen the burn in with Galaxy Nexus devices and the on screen buttons.

Wonder if the TV's also suffer from blobs on on pure black screens in dark rooms like their phones suffer from.

I was surprised when I read that OLED had burn in issues. Has anyone been gaming on it?

Tablet displays generally don't have images on for anything like what televisions do.

There is no difference in HDMI cables. If you can see the picture without visible dropouts or sparklies, the cable is working at 100%. No other cable will display a better version of that picture. You're simply wrong if you think there is a better digital cable than one that is already working.
