Not sure if you got your question answered but you can use:
1) www.serviio.org
or
2) http://www.universalmediaserver.com/

Both are excellent DLNA servers and are free.

1)Rlindo has settings on this thread that are perfect for TV watching. I'm pretty sure it was one of his last posts on this thread and I can attest that the settings are highly accurate.

2)Again, rlindo posted some great game settings too (2 point cal settings), however, I actually do not mess around with the greyscale calibrations. Since I only use game mode to play games, all I did was set color temp to low, contrast to +33, brightness -3, color +1, all other settings either off or default and I feel like the accuracy is ok.

3)Same settings as 1. I use his movie mode calibration for everything except gaming as it produces the most accurate color.

Try post 3417 on page 114 of this thread. I am using rlindo's movie setting at the moment on a 60EQ10U and the picture is pretty pleasing to my eyes. I made adjustments to the backlight, contrast, and brightness to suit my particular viewing preferences and location and I am happy. I think I am going to stick with these settings.

Badeyes provided the post number. Very accurate settings... as mentioned previously you really ought to give the settings a try and even if you don't "initially" like them you should try them for a solid week on all of your programs (whether it be BD player or OTA HD channels) before you go back to a oversaturated setting like Dynamic.

3D Glasses Pairing

Anyone who had problems with the 3D glasses pairing problems ever find a solution? I have the 70SQ and a set of the Sharp AN-3DG40. They paired quickly and easily when I first got the set. However, I recently got a pair of the Xpand X105-RF as a second set and it would not pair. Now the Sharp glasses won't pair either (not sure if they became unpaired from trying to get the Xpands to work or since the TV updated to the latest firmware a few weeks back). Tried short and long presses, holding the glasses at different distances to the set, turning off the set for 5 minutes or so then trying again- nothing works...

Too much blue in objects?
Turn down the CMS Saturation.
Too much blue in the grayscale and peak whites?
Use a lower temperature setting to begin with.
White LEDs put out a lot of blue light because it is their primary color.
All the rest of the spectrum comes from phosphor that is painted onto a blue LED.
It's the nature of these sets to run towards blue.
I prefer the old wide gamut CCFL backlights, but they have disappeared into the past...

Yes, turn down the blue -- you can turn it all the way down without doing too much.
The controls are kind of subtle. You can also turn the blue HUE control towards green
to make the blue a better match to sky blue and to blend better with Cyan.
Cyan is weak with these LEDs, so you can turn its Saturation up as well.
Yellow Saturation is a bit strong and effects fleshtones, so you might reduce it some.
I move the Yellow Hue control a little bit towards orange to help get rid of lemon face tones.

Update - Did a soft reset through the menus, still nothing. Called Sharp support, did a hard reset. Nothing.

Thinking something is wrong with the Bluetooth I tried pairing a Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5, they wouldn't work as well.

Sharp support wanted to send me a new set of 3D glasses. Instead of waiting I told them I would go to Best Buy and try another pair. I did this and still no pairing...

So it looks like the Bluetooth just totally went out for no reason. Called Sharp back and now they are sending a tech out this Thursday to look at my set that isn't even two months old...

Keep us posted. My 2 year old set had great rechargeable infrared glasses, but the bluetooth
technology can do more, so they went with it on this one. I have only used the glasses twice
so far and the second time only needed turning on and not the pairing routine again.
Sharp stands behind their products, but it's too bad it wasn't reliable from the get-go...

I have no other 3D TV to compare, as the UQ is my first. I have watched 4 movies in the 3D. I only have to walk directly in front of the TV and press the button on the 3D glasses to activate. If you are too far away from the TV, it is challenging to sync. Once they sync, the viewing distance has not been an issue for me.

Looks like I will be the owner of a 70SQ15U around the 30th. Chad B will be here at that time so it should be interesting.

I did not see another thread so I assume this is the "owners thread"?

Can someone explain the Sharp hz and interpolation settings?

The LC-70SQ15U says native 240hz, so Id assume the panel is always 240hz with everything off? Are there other things like backlight scanning and interpolation to enhance the motion resolution? How do these relate to 1080p/24 in from a blu-ray and a proper film look. I like moderately smooth motion without artifacts, but Im not a fan of intense frame interpolation.

Thanks.

The panel is native 240. Using the Resolution Enhancement limits backlight to Aquomotion 240.
There is a difference between the perception of panel flicker and backlight flicker.
The Aquomotion 240 does a nice job of getting rid of backlight strobing. 960 is overkill and can
only be used with the Resolution Enhancement shut off.
As for frame interpolation, use the Film Mode Advanced and find the level that suits you.
I have members of the household that love the soap opera effect, so ours stays maximum at +10.
Some say that fast sports will reveal double-images with the Aquomotion on, so watch for that.

I tweaked my USER setting slightly. I think the set has settled in some more after a few weeks.
I bumped the Temperature 2-Point HI Red up from -8 to -5. Before, that would have made
faces too orange, but now it adds welcome life again. The yellow seems to be getting greener
in extreme high brightness, so that will be the next project on this all-purpose setting.
It's been a long time since I touched it and these are minor tweaks...

I found a manual online and it seems you have Film Mode off, standard (which appears to just be a refresh rate multiple of 24hz for proper film reproduction) and Advanced, which allows you to dial up some interpolation on top of the proper 24hz multiple refresh rate.

For Motion enhancement, it seems the SQ15U would have 240hz, or aquamotion 960 (backlight scanning for 240hz native panels).

Knowing how I am about soap opera effect, I imagine I would probably best suited by the standard 240hz setting and Film Mode to Standard. I'll need to take a look at 960 though because I think it gives great motion results from reading, just have to make sure it isnt too funky looking.

I have recently purchased the LC-60SQ15U and am very happy with it so far and have found it to be very easy to get used to all of its functions. However I have not been able to use the ARC function with my Pioneer SC-1523K AVR, I am using the optical out from the television instead. I double checked all settings and everything is set properly so I'm guessing this is an HDMI compatibility issue?

If your Pioneer is like mine (I have the sc68), there is a setting for ARC that is kind of hidden. Also, The UQ set requires you to use hdmi 3 for the ARC out. Not sure if that's the same for the SQ. ARC works fine for me. Good luck!

Yes I have the ARC set to on with the 1523 and TV plus also using the HDMI 3 output on the TV still nothing. I'm okay using the optical output but would like to figure why this is happening. The ARC with fine with the SONY it replaced so I'm narrowing it down to the SHARP.

Sometimes it can be the simplest thing... I'd check the cable (try another one).

Don't forget the Resolution Enhancement, which will not work with the 960 backlight scan.
It was the selling point of these sets and most folks appreciate the extra detail...
