I was going to post reply in the "Help me choose an LCD thread" but it seems that the thread is rarely checked. Therefore, just asking for a little bit of advice on the pantheon of LED-LCD tvs. Id like to make a choice today as I have a buyer for my current TV who wants his soon.

Going from a 60 inch VT60, I have a high expectation. The reason for not wanting this TV anymore is while it may look incredibly realistic, it just looks too dull and soft to me. I know, flame suit on.

Basically, I sit 8 feet from the television in a very dark room with only occasional light. I'd say I game 50% of the time on the television (this is important to me), and watch movies the other half. PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and my Oppo are the only sources used.

I like a sharp display, where details pop out at me. I used to have an HX929 in a 46 and LOVED it.

So, I want a 60-65 that will do it for me. Right now, my list consists of the 65HX950, 60 inch Elite Prox5fd, 65 inch X900a, and the 65 inch Samsung F9000.

I realized banding is an issue on these larger LED sets, but I always have the dead center seat (or very close) and on center performance is the only thing that converns me. Anyone a wealth of info on the higher end LED sets?

Thanks a million!
