I don't know if anyone here has ever been to the Harry Potter world in Universal Studios Florida.. but they have built Hogwarts there... one of the more phenomenal experiences was seeing the multiple LCD screens with live actors! It was mind-blowingly well done.. of course ambient lighting there was kept extremely low.. but even up close, it just looked incredibly real, as though the painting was alive.. it did not look like a projected image. One thing they did was apply some kind of clear coat to the surface of the screen... screen brightness was definitely kept very low yet contrast was excellent.

My question is, how could one go about trying to achieve the same look? I am planning on getting a flat panel and applying some kind of brush clear coat to it... it will just be running slide shows of photos. Any ideas/tips???
