I'm at a loss when it comes to LCD/LED as I've always researched/bought plasmas for myself. So I really don't know what's good in the LCD world. I've looked on here and elsewhere for about an hour already and can't come up with a good suggestion for them.
Looking to help my parents replace a TV in their living room. They don't watch any blu rays, so the TV will be used for Netflix and cable only. Although maybe I'll convince them to get a blu ray player so don't count that out.
It is going in a very bright room with lots of windows. Budget is about $1000, size 60". So I'm looking for a good deal (heavily discounted) on a decent TV or any TV in their budget worth getting. I think my biggest concern for them is the bright room it is going in so it needs to really handle bright rooms and reflections well.
