I posted this last week in the "help me decide" thread but it seems as though there isn't much help there anymore. I need help deciding because I need to buy this week:

Help me decide between these two:

Samsung UN60F7100

Sharp LC-60TQ15U

Budget = $1500-$2000
Seating Distance = 12ft
Size limitations = no bigger than 60" due to wall its being placed on
Uses and Sources = Movies and TV, Blu Ray player, DirecTV
Room Lighting = Large wall with windows opposite TV

Please help as I need to "pull the trigger" this week

Sammy is on sale for $1799 right now.

Out of the two, I would go for the Sharp. Samsung is ok but they are both edge lit and will most likely have it's LCD problems. The Sharp is a 2014 model which has some nice improvements over last years. Having not seen one in person yet, I heard it has a very nice up scaler built in. Check the Sharp 2014 thread, I believe there are some owners with more detailed info. View them yourself and decide for yourself.

Tv's- LG OLED 55EG9600 4k, Panasonic 55ST60 , Panasonic 55GT50 THX, Main Speakers - Klipsch Gallery G28's, Center Channel- Klipsch RC-52, Sub-Klipsch Sub 12, Surround - Klipsch RS-52 II, Bluray/Game - HTPC/PS3, AVR- Onkyo RC-360

I would go with the Samsung because it is a VA panel. All around solid TV.

Sharp usually only uses IPS panels, which have half the picture quality of VA panels.
