Just pick this tv up at best buy, returned the first one due to issues along bottom of screen i guess what most describe as cloudiness very visable on solid colors. Replcement is way better hardley any visable. Any reviews or setting for tv have looked on tweakmytv and cnet and nothing yet. Did get some from soopergreg on the 2014 sharp thread that worked. I previously had the 70LE650U which i returned due to Cloudiness issues aswell and this new EQ10u series is an improvement atleast in my eyes. Picture quality seems more crisp and smooth also seems alot less jittery even set to 120 high.

I just got the same (LC-70EQ10U) a month ago, and like yourself used SooperGreg's settings.

I tried a different set of settings that I found here on avs but cant remember where it was.

I love this TV and really am clueless other than 'I like a big sharp picture'. LOL

This forum has steered me into some good very basic knowledge.

I did a search for Soopergreg and found a bunch of posts, but not his settings.
Here are some you can try till you find his. Several SQ and TQ and EQ users have found them compatible:

How successful were you with these settings? I just got my set today, and the color doesn't look quite right.. the whites are off.. I'm also still getting too much of a soap opera effect..

I had the EQ before i swapped for SQ... I found those posted settings not good. I can't remember exactly what mine were but these are close :
set the light sensor to on, set color temp to mid high or mid..Contrast was around 30 .. Color around 10.. Noise reduction to off... Motion 120 hi .. Left all the CMS values alone.. Contrast to advanced...tint 0 ..gamut to expanded..Brightness and tint 0 ... Quality pixel off....This of course was on Dynamic... Hope it helps ..

Thanks blue, I experimented and invited an AV enthusiast friend over to judge, here are settings I found great in my bright living room. Black levels are good. Colors are good. Motion is good. May need to adjust Film Mode to Advanced if watching film content.

- AV Mode = USER
- Auto Light Sensor = OFF
- Backlight = (+16)
- Contrast = (+32)
- Brightness = (+0)
- Color = (+8)
- Tint = (+3)
- Sharpness = (+11)
- Qual Pixel Plus 2 = (Advanced)
- Motion Enhancement = (OFF)
- Saturation = (Blue -3) all others at midpoint
- Color Temp = (Medium)
- Active Contrast = (Advanced)
- Gamma Adjustment = (Midpoint)
- Film Mode = (Off)
- Digital Noise Reduction = (Auto)
