Any idea when CNET will release their reviews for 2014 4k samsungs, sony, or visio LED's? Also, are there sites that do as comprehensive comparable reviews (like use the same benchmarks across products)? I saw Tomshardware.com recently had a comprehensive review of a Toshiba http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/toshiba-65l9300u-4k-hdtv-review,3768.html

I really like reviews that go to that level of detail but also quantify at the end.

So, review sites?

No. And reviews of 2013 models that shipped mid last year, other than the Samsung F9000, never appeared other than as previews. Katzmaier took a strong position early last year that 4K was superfluous.

OTOH what will he say at the end of 2014? ofc by then (the better incoming 2015 models ) will probably be mostly 4K like some of the better Sony's are now even if we don't have much to watch in 4K . I can see his point though then there are still HDMI 2.0 issues this year .

Cool. Thanks for the sites.

I plan on using the TV for a high end PC gaming rig (4k gaming, 60fps), but the lack of 10bit panels for the samsungs and the overall ambiguity with HDMI 2.0 has me real gunshy

There's a good chance us early adopters will all wish we were gunshy. There are still a lot of unknowns to define in the final 4K spec.

Yeah, I'm looking for 10 bit panel, 4:2:2 4k@60Hz. Ideally, 4:4:4 but I don't think even the theoretical HDMI 2.0 specs will be able to handle that at 4K 60Hz
