Why don't you put an ambient light behind the TV? You WILL be amazed by what it does.

I got 4 kids. Ever see what kids do to an ambient light? I really don't want them by my tv asking what is that.

Sigh. One day maybe.

Hello,

If you look at my numerous posts about this, you'll see that it is an issue some of us have. I figured out that if you have plex installed and you don't exit using the exit button, then you will be in the problem you are now.
The only way I found to get out of this is to reset the TV or sometimes, you need to reset the apps through the service menu.

It is a pain but if you don't exit correctly that is what happens.

Cheers.

I actually have tweaked mu settings some more with backlight to 16 for daytime viewing and it looks pretty good. I will post the changes along with nighttime settings as well, both calibrated with calman 5.

To be continued.

Um there is tons ive posted. This was literally thebfirst time ive posted from the uhd movie pack since I got it yesterday.

That means all other pics was non 4k content. Ive posted around 30. I have not done the news because I have basic cable. Not even digital. I mean like the lowest quality at 480i.

It looks better than anything else ive watched it on but hardly a kodak moment.

I may have posted some Netflix stuff I dont remeber. But the pacific rim etc is all bluray.

The rest is youtube.

No. That would be my dream set right now. A 10 bit 78 4k panel that is able to upgrade as 4k standards are finalized.

The works.

Sorry I forgot to add I have the 65-inch. Love it. Literally. In my heart.

i would like the 65 to replace my panny 65vt30 in the living room, i think the pic would improve and would handle the light that is always in the room, but, i just bought another tv for my game room and if I make the jump, it would have to be to the 78'
but, cant afford to drop 8k on the tv when it could go to my 3 kids college funds
wonder how long till the price comes down and how much they come down
i got my other tv for about half off in a freak sale that lasted a few days, i dont expect that with this tv

It woukd be nice. At this point I'm committed to the 65. No regrets. None. Im more than positive I made the right choice.

Especially since we can always upgrade the television without opening the panel. And multiple times. 2 or 3 maybe.

So you don't have HD cable/sat? All you watch is YouTube/Netflix/Bluray?

Yeah. Im not paying for that when all I watch is nfl. My wife has shows that we get on dedicated set top boxes.

I spend that money on blurays.

Always have. I figured why not pay for internet and get the content I want. Control it.

Im wanting a 4k camcorder now. I can save the money for that instead of hd cable.

Im mostly saturated on blurays. Just the new releases.

I still get all my sports. Im good.

That's fine but isn't internet stream sports not up to par in pic quality with Cable/Sat?

When my nfl games come on I use a digital antenna. Not even hd cable looks as good as that. Again I also pay for yearly video access for all nfl games etc. Hulu has all my kids shows. Netflix to. I get the movies bluray.

Ahh I see, yes OTA antenna has the best picture quality, show a pic when your NFL starts.

Yeah and I have little time to really appreciate the set. So why pay for my kids to watch cartoons in hd. They see it upscaling I guess. Basic 480i cable is free. I just dont watch it.

But I agree. I cant imagine paying 150 a montg for content you cant keep. Imagine how many bluray movies that gets you. And I go to trades mart. Buy 1 get the 2nd for $1. All used blurays. Most new ones I get for $25 because I get 3d and bluray.

I have apple tv with air play and ipads. Xbox one. Ps4.

Now netflix 4k. Soon more.

I just gotta choose my time and what I do wisely.
