The s6200 has a clean image as does the Panny. I don't think you can go wrong with either, I just prefer the 6200. It is faster and I prefer the interface.

Yes. The ota signal is better than hd cable. The signal itself is. But the tv converts it. So both maybe close.

I just save big $ on cable and buy blurays etc.

I figure internet and the video sites etc is good enough. And it really is.

Have any of you mounted your 65" HU9000 to the wall? If so, which mount did you use? My set comes on Tuesday and I am debating if I want to mount it.

Cool My 78" baby will arrive tomorrow !

My 78" 9000 will be delivered tomorrow morning !

Hurray !!

I'll hope the is no screen defaut at the openning of the box (phsysycally...)

And i hope also the delivery guy accept to be present during the process of openning the box and check if the screen is in a good shape...

The mail sent by the distributor explaining how to control the screen in presence of the delivery guy is well explained about this...

And refuse to accept the delivey if the guy want to leave before the openning of the box to control the tv...

The company (fedex) will sent another person to deliver who will be more professional to accept to be present during the control process to sign the delivery document who is the only proof incase of problem during transport....

Ok, it's the last thing before switching on the 78" baby, and start to discover if the uniformity of the screen is good or not !

I've read here that it's may be necessary to exchange the 8500 unit if it's a bad one, car the next one will be better...
We'll see !

First the delivery ...
And only after, the power ON and the tests....
With a big "whaaaaaooooo !" In front of so lovely beautiful images...

I got my dad the 65 yesterday for his birthday and he loves it
Really nice picture right out of the box. I let him know I'd come over again with some calibration settings next time to dial it in. But as far as initial impressions go very impressed. Is there a way to tell what resolution the YouTube or Netflix app are playing in? The picture looked amazing but he only has like 10mbps internet so I wanted to check

Below are the Internet download speed recommendations per stream for playing movies and TV shows through Netflix.

0.5 Megabits per second - Required broadband connection speed
1.5 Megabits per second - Recommended broadband connection speed
3.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for SD quality
5.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for HD quality
25 Megabits per second - Recommended for Ultra HD quality"

HEVC should help facilitate the UHD providing minimums are met for it.

Samsung 65F8000, 60D8000, 40HU6350, Panasonic 50E60 LCD's

Has anyone been able to compare the input lag on this tv? I currently have my PS4 ran to my Onkyo receiver and that uses the ARC HDMI 3 input. I am curious to know if the input lag and tv settings would be better if I connected the PS4 directly to the One Connect and labeled it PC. Also, would doing that affect the sound?

Wooohooo.
Finally, I know you've been waiting for a while now. Don't get to discourage if you see clouding because some rubbing might let the genie out of the tv!!

Angry

Bad news...

Waiting all the saturday morning, but no delivery from the TAT/Fedex !

No calls, nothing...

And the Customer Services was unreachable despite the fact that they said "open saturday morning from 8:00 to 12:00" on their web site AND on the phone annonce...

When I call yesterday evening, it was them that they propose to deliver the 78" tomorrow morning, I've just accepted the proposal !

Angry, and very sad...

I do not even know if they will deliver it monday...

Was this from an authorized Samsung dealer? I think 6400 is a great price and I would also buy it for that price.

^^^ That price actually seems too low, I would "bet" that is from one of the 15 Sham companies out there right now.

The only true place where reviews are not spoofed is the BBB. Not to many companies file a negative complaint on themselves......

I have to agree as all the authorized dealers are selling the 78 at 7997. I talked to a local dealer that wouldn't go any lower; however, he would throw in 5 year in home warr, free mounting, setting up equipment and remote and calibration for the 7997 price. So it sounds like Samsung might be setting the prices

I'll hope too that my 78" (arriving Monday/Tuesday ?) will be better than the german one above...

The "Rub in circles with microfiber cloth" was so efficient that it mainly eliminates the problem ?
