If it just stays you may have to go into your Netflix account on a PC and choose Auto for Resolution or High to force it.
Thanks. I will switch to wired tonight and see if that helps

Before you do that, just open the web browser and go to testmy.net It is a Speedtest site that uses only the browser and not flash. It will be relatively accurate on the speeds you are getting.

Edit: I didn't realize Speedtest.net works in the browser too.

So I'll be joining you guys soon! Going to get the 65HU9000 from Chris at CP and will be letting Chad B. calibrate for his shoot out, and my own benefit as his works sounds fantastic. So I should be getting a killer tv by the time it ships to me.

These setttings are maybe the best of all,
http://www.hdfever.fr/forum/viewtopi...101736#p101736
created by Nicolas Becuwe on his French site hedfever.fr which is a top one...

Results on my 78" HU9000 : (see below picture of the TV taken yesterday night, F/3, 1/40 sec, ISO400, 46 mm, with a Lumix FZ100)

I've just watched today The Avengers live from CanalPlus (Sat TV) : it's just 1080p, but upscaled to UHD by the TV was so impressive...
It looks as native uhd, so lovely beautiful...

Love this 78"...

Nice find and he calibrates standard mode. So all good things. Sorry it's just movie mode is not for me.

Thanks......having some challenges with the translation.

From Default
Backlight would be 21 if plus 7.....and it only goes to 20....
Sharpness all the way down to 20???

It looks like he is going off the 8550.....so I am a bit confused here as the translation doesn't seem to make sense.

The HU8500 is the European HU9000 so things should be the same.

But the Game mode was not choosen, and I did not rename the Input as PC/DVI as it is better to do.
Games in 3D on PS4 look fantastic on the 78" : VP2, Sniper Elite III, and Trine 2 of course (the best)

I will test the Game mode tonight...

I've also try today to take some pictures to show/test that there is no clouding on my screen (except maybe 1 or 2 centimeters on 3 angles, but so light that it is difficult to see it (on screen test of course ! in normal viewing there is absoloutly nothing).

If it is possible to upload my picture of my 78" to see this, I will try now :
Essai-P1300113-Mire-pr-Clou.jpg

Ok, it works ! you can see the picture

And I've order a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 (video 4k@30p), because I've seen some videos shooted with it on my 78", and they look like ...hum... incredibilitly fabulous...
Wow awesome. My 65 is also excellent. Samsung knocked it out the park with uniformity this year. I think yours is better than mine. That's crazy because it's bigger. Oh my.

Has anyone tried these settings on a un65hu9000? The picture seems overly dark. Any thoughts? The backlight at 7 seems really low.

Man your Blacks/Uniformity put my 65F8000 to shame. Torn between the 75"/78" and the physics of trying to fit the 78" into my HT Wall Unit, those few extra inches may be a giant killer for the 78". Also, trying to justify the added expense and whether there is a true PQ difference between the two versus Curve Coolness factor.

For nighttime viewing in a dark room, Backlight 7 is my go to on both my sets. Daytime I bump it to about 12 or 13 depending on what I am watching.

I have looked it over and over. My daytime settings work for me at night too. I pretty much have settled in for now. I use a torch mode that sustains black levels very well.

Day or night the picture is pretty consistent. The dark knight looks fantastic.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is torch mode?

Are your settings still the same as 25 pages or so ago?

Here's the rolling credit for Divergent (bluray rip .mkv). Looks pretty darn good, taken with my iPhone 5s camera so not the best quality.

I would think so? I'm no expert so I can't really say. I have mine set at 15 right now and it looks good. Haven't really upped the backlight beyond that.

Looks good. I'm starting to wonder if my 78inch model has an issue as mine does not look that black during credit scenes. I have small amounts of light in the corners with smart led on low. What is your smart led setting? I have copied cnets calibration settings though they did not post their smart led setting so I went with low

The technical details of the HU9000's input suite are among the most advanced of any TV's we've seen. All four of the current OneConnect box's HDMI ports support HDMI 2.0, and in our tests all were capable of accepting 4K at 60 frames per second. Samsung told us three of the four can accept it at 4:4:4 chroma subsampling rate, while the 4th (the MHL-compatible one) can accept 4K/60 at 4:2:0.

Mine is low as well. Have you tried the massage suggestion? I never did mine as I didn't have any bleeding or clouding. I use tontondavid's calibration on page 28.
