The top of the TV showing off the infamous curve... The curve is there but it's not over exuberant...

And the TV before being put on the stand... about the screen, it is not as reflective as the Sony was, but it's not matte neither.. it's more in the middle between the 2

All pics are taken with a Samsung galaxy note 3... One final note before actually putting the TV thru the ringer, it has a very high quality stand, very solid... my wife made the comment it may be heavier than the tV itself... lol

What happened to your XBR900A? That is where I'm coming from also. The first one had bad light leakage in the bottom corners and the next two had really bad uniformity.

I took pictures and I will post them ASAP. The TV was delivered late in the afternoon and anyone who gets a new TV knows that when you get to reading and tweaking, time goes by like it saw a ghost. When I saw the truck pull up, I watched as one guy took the box off by himself. There were two of them but the box is a lot smaller than I've seen from other manufacturers and even past Samsung boxes for a 64/65" set. Although when the guy took the box off the truck, I was dismayed to see him pulling it out lying down. It clearly states on the box not to lay it down cause there is glass. Fortunately nothing was amiss. Samsung put the accessories in black boxes which is classier than what you normally find and is a nice touch for their flagship series.

I can't believe how fast the evening went. My first impressions are very favorable. There is some clouding but no flash lighting. I haven't dialed in all the settings though. OTA TV looks great as do standard DVDs. I watched a bit of the 1967 Spiderman cartoon and was very satisfied with how good it looks. I tried a few more 3D blu ray movies and they too looked great upconverted to 4k. I also looked at some 4k streaming from Netflix. The nature features for the most part did not look as good as the 4k demoes on USB that you see on the showroom floor. But there were some scenes that looked great. I looked at few minutes of House of Cards and that looked better. I'll check out HOC again very soon. I have never watched it so I'll do one whole episode and take notes. Someone on AVS said he watched some of the second season and it had excellent 4k. I will also do some 2D watching this evening.

I also have not played any PS3/PS4 games on it yet. I spent a lot of time trying to configure my Harmony One but wound up with an error message when it was time to update the remote. I think I'll just wait till Logitech has the HU9000 in their database. I'll post those pictures this evening for sure.

As for the curve, when watching the TV I didn't find myself thinking about it at all. It's a slight curve so those that were hating without even seeing one in person. If you dislike it cause it's different that's your prerogative but to me the curve isn't an issue. In my set-up I don't have to worry about light bouncing off the screen either. Once again "the curve's alright with me, you know the curve's alright." I'll get my set calibrated (Jeff) but not until I make sure I don't have any technical issues. Nothing like paying for a calibration and then having to return the set. I wanted at least a 70" set but things didn't line up for that to happen and Samsung's 78HU9000 is a bit too much for my budget. It looks like Samsung has a winner but stay tuned.

That's what I'm worried about with these the light bleed, also clouding like the x9 had. I'm really interested in how well this sets blacks look and how well it performs.
