What would you guys do? Take it back? Is there no way around the flash lighting. I'm not seeing black crush.

My F7100 has flashlighting, as does my F6400, F6300 and ES6100 models....... I quit caring about it and now it doesn't bother me. 99% of the time it's not visible and it doesn't ruin the viewing experience for me so... Just enjoy your TV, it's a miraculous piece of technology...

Guys, f the flash lighting. This tv looks ABSOLUTELY amazing. I hooked it up to mg PC and I've better seen clarity and color like this before. It's so beautiful.

I'm keeping it biggrin.gif

Anybody using it with a samsung soundbar for my 65" H7150? I'm looking into HW-F550 model but need to make sure I can fully control the soundbar using the smart remote as I truly don't want to have to use another remote to turn on/off and adjust levels.
If anybody has a different soundbar model recommendation please share it since I'm not sold on anything yet.

Anyone know if there's a setting I'm missing or have turned on that I need to turn off to stop the TV from washing out the color when its a mostly black screen?  Like during movie credits, the white text is dimmed/washed out.  Same happens on mostly black screens, the rest of the picture goes dim.  I'm sure its a setting I need to change but can't find it or the right combination of settings to make it more normal.

I have a Klipsch SB3 soundbar hooked up to my 65" 7150. Yes, the remote controls it. My picture by the way is amazing.

why use a soundbar when a 7.1 ( 7 speakers and a sub woofer) receiver will sound like a movie theater?

Thanks for the suggestion but I was under the impression the only way to fully control the soundbar with the tv remote was to use HDMI-ARC but this bar only has optical, correct?
Am I misinformed?

I need to keep a minimalistic approach since I have the tv mounted on the wall and no visible cables at all (power outlet on the wall behind the tv) or equipment shelving.
For my setup a soundbar is the only way to go.

My HDMI Black Level was set to Low instead of Normal.  Fixed the dark scenes but now I still have to tweak the settings.  Black bars are def. not as black as they were.

My Klipsch can be turned on/off and knows when the tv is off or on and the remote controls the volume. I had to go the sound bar route due to the wall my tv went on.

Do you have the SB 3 or SP-SB23W? I'm thinking about getting the SP-SB23W myself, was wondering what you thought of it

Those of you that missed out on the 15% off sale at HHgregg there is a new coupon code that works for 11% off. Not as good but still decent. CELEBRATEMOM is the promo code.

Hi all, I am looking into eventually getting the 46 inch version of the UN46H7150AFXZA and came straight to this site for information about it. I love this forum! Anyway, I am mainly interested in it for gaming and watching standard TV, but I thought I would let you know of a site I found that has a decent review of this TV and a lot of pictures, and input lag info, it is at http://www.rtings.com/reviews/tv/lcd-led/samsung/h7150

That might help some with their decision. Have a great day!

I think a lot of people got them at HH Gregg when they had a 15% off coupon.

HH Gregg has another 11% coupon that works until 5/5 11 am EST (tomorrow), just use the code "CELEBRATEMOM" during check out at http://www.hhgregg.com

Edit: NM, 15% would only get the price down to $1700...

Still over 2000 with coupon? If it was 15% off it would only be another 80 bucks..

I mean it's $2,000 normal price, but could've been $1,700 out the door after the 15% off.

With 11% off it's $1,780 out the door

Fry's had a sale between 4/4 - 4/6 on the UN60F7500 for $1,349.00
When Fry's could not deliver on the F7500 orders, they substituted them with this years 60H7150.

I got my 75H7150 TS01 2 days back
The screen setting out the box is bad ..

anyways i want to share my setting ( the way i feel it fits my eyes with no much artifacts )
First of all am using PC HDMI connection - HD 6950 - W7
I have played with the gamma setting to 1.10 the rest are all default ( it helps little to fix the black crush )

Back to the TV setting :
Turn on the game mode

Backlight : 3-5
Contrast : 60
Brightness : 50
Sharpness : 20-40
Color : 60
Tint : G50/G50

Advanced setting ...

Dynamic Contrast : low
Black Tone : Off
Flesh Tone : 0
Color space : Custom
Color Red
R : 50
G : 0
B : 0
Color Green
R : 0
G : 40
B : 0
Color Blue
R : 0
G : 0
B : 50
Color Yellow
R : 70
G : 60
B : 20
Color Cyan
R : 0
G : 51
B : 51
Color Magenta
R : 50
G : 0
B : 50

White balance
2 Point
G-Offset : -10
R-Gain : +7
The rest : 0

Gamma : +1

Picture Option ...
Color Tone : standard
HDMI Black Level : normal
Cinema Black : off

Im still trying to get the best out of it .. but right now am happy with this settings
It does fit my viewing and it may not fit or work out for others ....

Edit sharpness : 20-40
R-Gain : +7

why have Sharpness at 60 it will make your tv look bad reducing your sharpness will actually give you more, not less detail in your picture I set my Sharpness at 3

My old PS3 is HDMI 1.3 and the ps3 will do 3D. 1.4 HDMI just adds ethernet and an audio return path so 1.3 hdmi will be fine for 3D
