Going to be checking FedEx tracking every day now haha.

I saw cheaper offers elsewhere as well but alas out of stock and on back order plus would have had to use a funky method of shipping as I'm in the UAE now so decided to pay a bit more as was easier

Hi guys,

Just checked couple of European support sites (Finnish, Estonian and UK) and found firmware 1141.6:

EDIT: It is available from TV menu (OTA) too. I'm surprised that my TV has not yet auto updated.

Someone in German forum wrote that he updated and can't see any differences, so it looks it may be safe to update. I'm going to give this a try... Hoping it will fix the Netflix only stereo issue.

Is anybody else having trouble with the Amazon app since upgrading? Whenever I try and open it it just goes back to whatever I was watching.
Any ideas?

yeah, it happened to me once. I just tried to access the Amazon App again and it worked fine.

I just installed the European 1141.6 update. Still no DD5.1 sound from Netflixk app. And now i can't access Amazon Instant Video app anymore. Damn Samsung. Everything else seems to still work.

There's a Amazon feedback section listed in the Samsung Apps section: samsung-aiv-feedback@amazon.com, my Amazon App version is 1.95936 is yours different? I just accessed my Amazon app just now with no issues.

Yes, mine has the same version number. And it started working again after i clicked Open from the app information page.

I had that Amazon app issue on my HU8550. I reset Smart Hub and the problem hasn't returned. It was after an update by the way.

For everyone with flickering and Netflix problems here, I'd like to share my experiences. Here's what has happened in chronological order:
  1. Updated to firmware 2221 (USB). Weeks passed. Got the UHD kit.
  2. Made UHD Backup and connected UHD kit as instructed. There seems to be no connection between the kit and the tv (black screen). Contacted Samsung. Days passed.
  3. My UHD Kit main board was switched. Nothing changed. Days passed.
  4. the TV was factory reset through service menu. Got pic, but it flickered like hell. My TV main board was switched. Still flickered like hell. The kit main board was switched back the original. Now less flickering, but still unwatchable. A day passed.
  5. I decided to try the original one connect cable based on people's experiences I had seen here. No flickering! Was kinda happy. Yet no Netflix
  6. Updated firmware to 1131.6 (USB). Flickering remained with new cable. Back to old cable. Still no Netflix
  7. Days passed. Contacted Samsung and Netflix multiple times with no help. Frustrated.
  8. Got instructions from this forum on how to change Smart Hub country and got Netflix! Been smiling since. Thanks!
  9. Today, I got the new exchange UHD cable from samsung. No flickering. Also, updated to 1141.6 (OTA). Everything still works. Still smiling.
  10. Netflix is only stereo. This remains to be fixed. Anxious, but can live with it for now.

Raise your hand if nodded and silently uhmm'd at least on five times when reading through the steps above

Was this a question addressed to me? Yes, I had Netflix on 1131.6 for a few days. Many others here have had it too? Just not before I changed Smart Hub country to US.

I'm considering getting a sek2500u/za (us version) and a un65f9000 so that I can play video games at 4K res / 60 Hz. However, I cannot find any support for the box such as a manual telling me what the sek2500u will do. My calls to samsung suggest that I need the box with the correct firmware update, but no one at samsung will tell me the current firmware version number or how to get it.

1. has anyone tried to view anything at 4k/60?
2. what is the latest firmware version for the un65f9000?
3. what's the URL for finding the firmware?
