I did the update. Result in 4K/50p the motionplus is blocked on standart, impossible to change the setting. Also I do not have the resolution that appears when I change source.

So, after a long and depressing conversation with William at UK Samsung Support I have the following bad news.

Apparently SEK2500U+F9000 is the only Samsung TV with Smart hub that won't support Netflix atall.

Even though the HU8500 with firmware 1150 has Netflix fine, and thats pretty much identical hardware and firmware to the SEK2500+F9000.

He said he spoke to an 'engineer' and couldn't tell me why there was a problem with the F9000.

WHAT A STINKING PILE OF **** :-(

That can't be true, I'm sure he does not know what he is talking about. There is no problem with European F9000+SEK-2500U, I use Netflix on it every day. Just change your smart hub region to US and you will get a working Netflix app. Unfortunately you will loose your other local apps if you do that, but it proves there is no problem with Netflix app.

William is wrong. Why would the UK be any different than the US? Pretty sure there are UK versions on here using Netflix just fine. My UN65F9000 with SEK-2500U/ZA uses Netflix just fine.

I'm running European 1150.6 and I have Netflix app because I set my smart hub region to us.

Netflix was missing in US too for some time, but it returned.

OK, can you point me at the URL please. Because currently I do not have netflix in my smart hub (1150.6 UK (I guess)) and I have been told by UK Samsung Support that it is not, and will not, be available.

OK, So I found it on the netflix site.

So, can anybody offer me advice. Is there anybody out there with an F9000 attached to a SEK2500U with firmware 1150 and a UK smart hub that can get Netflix?

I am at a loss...

Netflix app was available and about a month ago it was removed for some unknown reason (globally). A few weeks ago it appeared again in US Smart Hub, as far as i know, it is not available anywhere else at the moment. I have no idea why it was removed or why it is not back in any other region. At some point there was a banner in Smart Hub that said it will be back soon.

Contact William again and point him to the list of supported devices on Netflix website.

Yeah - Apparently it is available on HU8500 etc in UK right now, but not F9000 - according to William.

What are the last two letters of your SEK-2500U? it could help. Mine are ZA as in SEK-2500U/ZA. ZA is the region code for the US.

So I finally broke down and bought and installed the SEK-2500, everything works great and I even have Netfilx. My problem is that the 10p white balance is grayed out in the advance picture settings. Any thoughts on what to do to turn it on? I have the latest HU9000 firmware installed too.

Netflix is not available in my country, so no. I have not tried if it is available if i set smart hub to UK.

Just spoke with Netflix support.. The usual nothing new for us europeans. I put some pressure on him about the US app working just fine and he agreed with me and said the wait probably was for some marketing stuff on Samsung side. But bottom line he asked for some patience as he thought the app would be back soon..

Maybe tomorrow I will see what Samsung Sweden has to say

Hi,

I'm new to the AVS Forum and I'm following this thread since a while as I have the same issues with UK Netflix.
I'm from Switzerland and have the UHD F9080 with SEK-2500 - after some HW issues (new motherboard needed) everything seems fine, except Netflix.
I'm using the UnoTelly Hack to change the F9000 country setup and I can confirm that in the US setup Netflix is available and works fine. In the UK setup that I mainly use because of the BBC iPlayer, there is no Netflix.
This is very annoying, as it worked with the old OneConnect Box ...

So is there an official statement from Samsung that on the F9000 UHD TVs with SEK2500 there is no Netflix available? and if so, any 'forecast' on when we will get it and what the f*รง%& problem is? I just hope it is not one of these licence wars ...

Thanks guys for the responses and I've discovered that you have to be out of the SmartHub for updates to work and that you need to set the source (in my case Sky) so that you can view within the SmartHub. The new handset then allows you to control Sky as well.

Still no Netflix in the UK

Also still no Netflix in The Netherlands.
I called Samsung a week ago.
She tried everyting she could with going into the TV Menu's and resetting on distance, but I did not solve the problem.

NO NETFLIX YET. But I still pay for it.

Hello, from the USA,I'm new here. I just purchased a new 65f9000 (it's still in the package).
they scammed me into buying an old version one connect box. After reading these post I ordered the newer one connect sek2500U/ZA. would it be wise to wait to hook up TV to new 2500 when delivered and not even bother taking it out of the package and hooking up to old one connect? Thank you for any reply to this matter.

It's unheard of to sell us a 2500U with promises of netflix 4K, just to disable it, postpone it and keep radiosilence meanwhile, even suggesting it will never come, because of incompatibility issues, while the US app works perfectly fine.

And as pointed out; while paying for the Netflix service. Great.

After problems with my old B8000, my new F9000 and 2500U, no more Samsung for me, if they don't fix this ASAP.

You are probably in picture mode "standard". It's the only mode that allows "advanced settings" but has "10 point white balance" grayed out.

You must be in "movie" mode to use the "10 point white balance" settings.
