Just purchased this set and thought I would start a thread to get some ideas what others are doing in terms of video settings. So far I have just tweaked the "Standard Energy Star" preset and I get pretty good results with a high def image from my Oppo Blu Ray or a good cable feed but I think I'm still missing the mark. Would appreciate other users sharing their settings.

Here are my current settings:

Picture Quality: Standard Energy Star

Auto Light Sensor: Off

Backlight: +4

Contrast: +32

Brightness: -30 (Neutral)

Color: +8

Tint: -30 (Neutral)

Sharpness: +5

ADVANCED SETTINGS

Resolution Enhanced: Mode 1

Clear Picture Processing: Off

C.M.S. Values (All Neutral)

Color Temp: High

Gain Settings (Neutral)

Active Contrast: Off

Film Mode: Off

Digital Noise Reduction: Auto

I have the 80 inch as well and not sure what the best calibration is yet. I just got it. Do you have any updates on the calibration?

Thanks!

Thanks Lukemon and Johnfall! The only thing I can't figure out is that a bunch of my options are greyed out such as film mode and CMS Options. How can I get access to these? Thanks for all ur help!

Are they greyed out in all settings?
Fixed Dynamic is the only one that has no adjustments...

Actually for all of them these are greyed out (standard, movie, user, etc.) The Movie (THX) is also greyed out.

Maybe you should call Sharp customer service (Aquos Advantage) to see what they have to say.
