LG 55LN5400 - How to tell if it is an IPS PANEL or NOT

What do you look for in the Serial Number to tell if the 55LN5400 has an IPS panel or not ?

Tap the screen gently... IPS you will only notice a slight mark where you tapped, LED will flicker in a greater area. I think LG typically uses IPS anyway.

LG displays are generally entirely of the IPS variety.

Yes,there are a variety of IPS panels available. The LN5400 would be considered a low-mid range display,so I wouldn't count on one of the higher caliber IPS panels.

which of the below do you think it would be ?


Horizontal IPS


Enhanced IPS


Professional IPS


Advanced High Performance IPS


I pick the 5400 OR new 6000 series because there is no INTERNET CRAP built into it
