How much is this old Sharp Aquos worth?

Hi, everyone…mods, I hope I'm posting this in the right thread. If not, then please feel free to move it to the appropriate forum.

I have an old Sharp Aquos LC-37G4U that's in excellent shape for its age. As you can see in the pics, I have EVERYTHING that came with it and I even have the original box and packing materials. The only problem with the TV is that there is a hissing and cracking sound coming out of the right speaker. I suspect the speaker is going bad. I was thinking about either putting it in the Classifieds section here, or putting up for sale on eBay. Obviously shipping would be very expensive given the size and weight of the box. Can you guys please tell me how much would a good asking price be for the TV? Thanks!

seems like you've kept it in fairly good shape, but I'd say that it's probably not worth much considering you can get a new, lightweight, 39" 1080p LCD for anywhere between $250-$350 these days. Unless someone who collects old Sharp Aquos models in interested in it, I'd say you can probably expect $100-$150 for it. I wouldn't bother with the expense and hassle of shipping it.

You would be lucky if you get $250 for it, considering you can buy a new 50" for $500. But since you have 2 OLED tv's I don't think it matters.

TV's - Panasonic 55ST60 , Panasonic 55GT50 THX, Main Speakers - Klipsch Gallery G28's, Center Channel- Klipsch RC-52, Sub-Klipsch Sub 12, Surround - Klipsch RS-52 II Bluray/Game - HTPC/PS3, Receiver - Onkyo RC-360, HTPC- Intel Core i3, HDMI,Windows 7,XBMC,Bluray,7 TB, Video Processor -Darbee

LOL...true! Ordinarily I'd agree, but I'd like to get SOMETHING for this TV rather than just getting rid of it. Thank you all for the feedback!

Some of the new 39 " are right about ~$250 -$349. or close ,maybe try $155.00 and maybe consider offers as low as ~$100.00 or so hard to say ultimately it's worth what someone is willing to pay . One 37" Sharp LCD is listed on pay bay
BIN @ $199.00 . ebay advanced search has no sold listings for your set .That's an old timer as LCD sets go probably a pretty good one though good luck .

The LC 37G4U is a 2006 1366x768 LCd. That is worth less than $100 AFAIK

Donate the TV to Goodwill, a church, or other similar place that could make use of it. Then claim it's value at a fair market of around $250. Then claim the donation on your taxes. You may only get a $70 credit, but that isn't far from eBay after you pay shipping as many sellers need to if their listing is competitive. Good for the recipient of your donation, and far easier than dealing with a used product sale via eBay. Otherwise use Craigslist (cautiously) and sell for $200 as is, cash only, in your local area - pickup required/no delivery. I have had great experience with cash-only transactions on C-list for electronics as well as furniture.

I can't reply to your post since I'm new to this forum. What price did you have in mind and would you ship to Dallas, Texas?
