2014 Samsung un75h7150 vs 2013 un75f8000

Hi All, I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one of the following 75 inch sets. Both appear similar in specs and price is similar(the 2014 model is actually 500$ cheaper).

Does anyone have any experience with these two sets who can offer any advice? Unfortunately I cannot view the 2013 set anymore as its not on display but I remember it being quite stunning.

Is there any other sets which I am overlooking in the 4K price range? My primary use is sports, mainly Hockey....lol

I have a Panny plasma right now that sucks at hockey.

The F8000 will win in PQ due to the hardware local dimming it uses, the H7150 uses software based. The F8000 also comes with the smart evolution kit so you can upgrade in the future to newer smart hubs and processors without having to purchase a new TV. I have yet to see a H7150 professional review however, the F8000 scored high marks in pretty much every review.

I had the F8000 for a year before I sold it to get an F9000. I tried to sell it to my buddy who was looking at an H7150 but he just wanted something new in the box. I sold the F8000 on eBay and he now regrets not buying it from me. Don't get me wrong, the H7150 is a good set but the PQ can't match the F8000. Truthfully on 1080 and lower sources my F9000 can't even match the PQ of the 8000. Also the H7150 lags in menus and Smart Hub whereas the 8000 flies plus the viewing angles on the 7150 are much worse. Just my experience with both; I did love with the 8000 for a year and only played with the 7150 twice.

To add to this, I also did not change any of my buddy's settings. He may have left them as they were minus Auto Motion Plus (No Soap Effect) somaybe the 7150 picture could be dialed in further.

I don't understand how the F8000 65 is about 800-900 more than the H7150 65... Shouldn't it be less because it is last years model?
