Sharp LC-65LE643U connection issues...

My latest upgrades include an Oppo 103 and a Sharp Aquos 65" model, and I just signed up for DirecTV...along with my trusty XBox360, all running through a Pioneer Elite SC-27.
I got it all hooked up and the Oppo plays fine, but I get no connection with the rest of my components.
DirecTV will get audio only with a 1 second video blip then back to black.
Now I just connect the DirecTV receiver and the Xbox directly to the TV.
Any inputs or suggestions?
I used to have Dish and a Samsung TV and they all worked fine - could the resolution be the problem or is my Pioneer too old for the TV and no longer compatible...

Have you tried connecting directly to the TV and separately to the Pioneer?
I have a pre-HDMI Yamaha that I use that way -- BluRay and Dish connected to the
TV with HDMI cables, but to the Yamaha with Coaxial cables. No problems.
