Vertical Banding..exchange tv?

I recently purchased the Panasonic tc-60as530u from Best Buy for $715 after tax with the 10% movers coupon. While I think the picture quality is good for the price, I noticed vertical banding when the camera pans during certain scenes, or sports. From what I have found on google this appears to be somewhat normal and random for LCD-LED tvs. The banding doesn't seem to be to bad(unless it's hockey) but I notice it every time it occurs. I've had a Samsung Plasma for the past four years and did not have this issue. I'm thinking it is possible I'm just not used to tvs that are led lit.

Are there any 60inch models that have less noticeable banding issues? I was considering the Samsung H6350 or Sony w630b but I want to make sure they would be enough of an improvement to justify spending a bit more. Thank you.

I went through many sets like you, my last one was Panasonic 65AX800U and had these bandings, i couldn't watch hockey etc. distracting and you keep looking at it, picture was good but i couldn't take it. Now i have new model Samsung 65JU7500 and a very happy camper. Because i saw those lines in almost any model some worst than others.
This set made me so happy with having 4K world and no vertical lines.
If 4K os not a big deal for you stay with plasma if you can find good one.
