Best value 55" uhdtv

I have been out of the loop since I got my 2 Panasonic Plasma TVs a few years ago. I have been asked to help find my parents a quality TV.

They want 55" and the budget is max $1400

They mentioned a salesman recommended a LG 55" UB8200. I really cannot find any info on this set.
I was thinking about the Samsung-UN55JU7100

What are my better options.

the LG is a 60hz tv, so be aware of that. the ju7100 is a very good tv, but the 55" version right now is 1800, so its over the 1400 budget.

TV; SAMSUNG 65 HU9000(current) SAMSUNG 65 8550 4k (30 days) SONY XBR65X850B 4k(owned for 2 weeks), previous was SAMSUNG 65 7100
AVR: Sony 7.2 1040
Blu Ray: Oppo 103D

i just replaced an LG 55ub8500 with a sony 55x850b. I highly recommend the Sony for much better motion and color.

Do they need one right now? The new sonys are coming soon, if they can wait a bit the 850s may dip below that 1400 mark.
