The price has been out in Korea for awhile now. Converted for USD, in Korea it is about $13-14K and $11-12K from the discounters. If the 78JS9500 does release for $14999 in the USA as rumored, without the $2000 off on day one, it would be one of the few times prices in the US where higher than overseas.
^^^ It does happen from time to time, we are not always lower. Sometimes we do not even get other products here. We almost did not get the 55EA8800 LG. Europe had that model for almost a year before we got ours in the States.......
They are really price gouging for just 4k and fald and curved it's like the wild west $20000 for 80+ inch tvs there are no rules it's chaos 99% of people don't even consider themselves videophiles
This has to be a marketing stunt by Samsung. To push the market and to test how far crazy people will go. $15K is laughable. To go from the $5500 65" to the 78" at almost triple the cost? I could see the price seriously dropping fast once they realize no one besides a few crazy people are spending $15K.
BTW what other TV's out there are FALD, HDR, 75+ inches and have a true 18Gbit HDMI port on them? Is this the only set that checks all those boxes?
lmao @ spending more than $5000 on anything other than FALD. Samsung can keep their edge lit junk. I've seen it their 4K sets in person and was highly unimpressed.
my best buy is the same way. still has the 78" hu9000 up. they have to sell that display model before they put something else up. my best buy has the EXACT same set up. the 78 is in the middle. you can now sleep easy tonight
The JS9100 is up on the Samsung site. Based upon the limited spec data appears to be nothing more than a 78" version of the JS9000. No price listed. Be interesting to see how they price it versus 65" JS9000. The 78" JU7500 is currently 100% more than the 65" JU7500 on Amazon. The 78" JS9500 is 172% more than the 65" JS9500. Those Sony ears keep looking better as time passes.
I little closer to its actual street price at $13,499. So it looks like when it does hit the Samsung site in the next few days it will be $14,999 with only $1500 off on the first day instead of the $2000 off I predicted. Still way, way overpriced considering Hisense will be selling their version at $7995. Samsung will quickly be under 10K buy the end of the year.
The ju7700 and ju6800 are not listed on american site yet and JS8600 is not listed anywhere yet but I am staring at complete 2015 line on paper so it its coming ..
I will be honest, I am surprised how low the UN78JS9500 and UN88JS9500 turned out to be Good for the end user !
