Samsung UN60JU7090 Picture Settings

Hi all just got this TV. Seems pretty good so far, will do more testing with my gaming systems soon.

Has anyone had theirs professionally calibrated? Wondering what settings are working out for most people.

Follow-up question

Can someone also explain what the fuzzy artifacts are around the edge of the abc logo in the picture I attached? I notice this a lot in sports programming around the edges of players. Is this the tv or is it my cable provider?

^^^^ that would've been my first guess as well. How does it look when you play BD/DVD movie and title credits are rolling? The larger the panel the more pronounced the artifacts, generally speaking.

As far as settings go, you either need to adjust the basics yourself with a disk or have it professionally calibrated (or learn how to do it yourself). There's a good posting around here from a professional calibrator with two identical sets. Calibrated one and used those settings on the other. His conclusion was the same as most around here. Sharing settings rarely, if ever work for most.
