Vertical lines on left half of LCD...Is it fixable?

Hey guys,

So, the night before flying out for vacation (of course), something happened and exactly 50% of the TV is now vertical lines as you can see from the pics. This seems like it would be a relatively easy fix provided it's not the LCD itself...and I don't believe it is because why would it be exactly half of the screen affected - but I'm not sure what part I would need to replace to fix it. So, here's to hoping it's not the LCD panel - The model of the TV is LN46D630M3FXZA...Any advice would be appreciated!

I just wanted to add that the color of the lines do not change in response to the image being displayed if that helps...I'm going to start by reseating the connections...*crosses fingers*

reseating cables is a good first idea... It might help. Your problem is likely a tcon problem. If you are lucky, a replacement card ("recycled" or otherwise) might solve it.

Well, just an update. I swapped out the T-Con board and I still have the same problem unfortunately. Oh well, it was only $30.00 or so. Anyone have any other ideas before I succumb to taking it to the repair shop?
