No I don't agree. It's one possible reason. It could be that it's not happening anyway. Or, many other possibilities. The fact that it's greyed out and showing as "off" is just one possible reason.
There is something different about your tv as that option is certainly not grayed out for me and I suspect it isn't for most people here. What model do you have and what firmware?
That's been in my sig all the time. European version of the same TV with the T-JZMDEUC chassis. You have the T-JZMAKUC chassis version, and there's also a T-JZMUABC version. It's identical apart from we have Picture in Picture basically. I have firmware v1168.2 which is the latest for this chassis. After about 9 months of ownership motion lighting being disabled in Movie and Cal-Night modes is probably only the second difference anyone's spotted, if that really is the case.
Btw there's no need to quote entire massive post just to add 2 lines.

Cool, please can you try a HLG clip (eg http://demo-uhd3d.com/fiche.php?cat=uhd&id=158
) and see if the onscreen Play/FF/RW bar displays "HDR" or "HLG" in it? Bug as described in this post

Nice? You're reacting as if it was good news
. It wasn't, it was bad news, he said it was the same as before, one single profile in Game mode without HDR / SDR separate settings.
If you want Vudu to improve their app, petition them. The apps are not contained within the firmware. But Vudu isn't even on the map for most of us (literally! Despite being an Internet provider they only serve one country in the world, and they are being glacially slow at expanding outside their 1-country bubble
