Sony XBR65X950B vs Sony XBR65X930D

Just looking for opinions on which is better. Take cost out of the equation, how do they rate against each other? It's going to go in a darker room, mainly for watching movies, cable and some gaming. RTINGS has the 930D rated pretty high, but they never reviewed the 950B. Not sure how the technology of the 2014 950B compares to the new 2016 technology of the 930D. Let me know guys.

I'd love to get an opinion here as I am debating between the exact same TVs... I'm wondering if the FALD of the 950b outweighs the 930D.

I am debating this very question right now myself. I am very interested in what you two decided on.

I have the x950b and love it. You can see pics I posted from my TV on the owner's thread. That being said, I checked out the x930D at Best Buy and was impressed by it. Very colorful and bright and has HDR (and the x950b doesn't).
Personally, I think that you'll be happy with either TV, but to be certain, go check them out at your local BB. However, if HDR is important to you then you should probably get the x930D.

Other than HDR, gets a better picture. The newer model probably has better connectivity features. I bought it last year above the 930c and the LG OLED. Thanks. Regards. Ned.

If cost isn't an issue, go with the 940D and get the best of both worlds.

Otherwise, FALD is nice, but the benefits of WCG and HDR are hard to overstate, they're really necessary to get the most out of UHD Blu-Ray and most of the high-quality upcoming streaming stuff.

On the other hand, the X950B is built like a brick ****house, the X930D is just built like ****.

if you're dead set on 65" and LCD, don't buy either of those until you've seen the upcoming 65" ZD9

Current: Sharp Elite PRO-70X, Panasonic ZT65, Samsung PN64F8500, Pioneer Elite Kuro PRO-151FD 60"
Previous: Sony XBR8, Sony XBR4, Sony WEGA (various)
