I have a Samsung UN55KU6500 and the Xbox One S looks great on it. Halo 5 looks great on my TV. The 4k content from Netflix and YouTube looks amazing. I haven't tried the 4K Blu-ray Player yet because I don't own any 4K Blu-ray Disc. I haven't used Amazon either.

You are right. I pulled up a 4K video on YouTube with the Xbox One S and thought it was 4K. I didn't pay any attention to the HD symbol under the video title. I pulled up the same 4K video on YouTube with my TV and there was a 4K symbol under the video title. The video on the Xbox One S had a great picture quality, but you could definitely see that it wasn't 4K when you watched the same video through the YouTube app on my TV.

I can say that it works great and looks amazing on my OLED. I have a Samsung 65KS8000 coming tomorrow that I will be testing it more with. There are no HDR games right now (I think Forza Horizon 3 is the first) and I doubt any are 4K either now that I think about it. But everything I have played as looked great upscaled (most TV's from 2016 upscale 1080p content really well). PM me and I can shoot you some videos or pics of my Samsung playing some stuff tomorrow.

Netflix works in 4K HDR on Xbox one S and Gears of War 4 (Oct 6) is suppose to have HDR. I bought 5 4K Blu-rays and Mad Max Fury Road is AWESOME and really shines in 4K HDR! BW Xbox One S has a 500 GB the 23rd August that is only 299.....not bad for a 4K Blu-ray player eh?

My sole focus right now is finding an affordable TV to take advantage of the One S I have. Both for gaming and watching 4k blu ray's.

Just looking for the right TV.

Are you looking for an HDR model, don't know if these are worth it. If not you could surely get last years model without HDR and have a good deal on them for sure.

And no bit stream audio support, so if you need Dolby Atmos, then it is not the player.

I have it hooked up to a 2016 G Series Oled; games look great and the four UHD blu rays I have look even better. I don't have a receiver hooked up for sound, so no comment on that.

Do not get the m series. I had an og 4k har thst i bought specifically for my xbox s and it didnt work to the film capabilitied. I traded in my og for the vizio m series thinking that was going to work but it did not. M series is only an 8 bit panel. Netflix looled all washed out kept getting rand om blackoits while her was enabled on xbox... Just grader in my m series and payed an extra 650 bicks and got the un55ks8000 samsung and am blown away with this tv... This is the best tv i have ever owned. Finally got all green checks in my xbox settings proving it was running at film capabilities.. Lso netflix looks amazing with hdr enabled on my xbox. S? end the extra money and get this set. They have the 49 inch for 1150. I bought the 55 for 1279 not including tax well worth the extrs money. It is the cheapest set you csn buy thst works best for the xbox. Minus the p series from vizio but even thst one i heard was having the ske issues as the m series. Good luck !!
