Just keep in mind the grey was using Dynamic mode. When using other picture mode the blacks were better but once in a while i would see light bleeding

Played at what resolution? UHD input lag was measured at 25ms, 1080p at 42ms ...
Also you could upload your RX100 pics to an external pic hosting site

OK but that shouldn't be the case. I can put both my JS9500 and my 75Z9D on Dynamic mode and there just as black as any other mode.

It is in the second set of pics with Falling Down on . But obviously the angle plays a huge role here. Any LCD would show light bleed from such an angle (when no dimming in that area)

I don't know I am not seeing any light on the bars they look really close to OLED level blacks for me.

Sure. I do not know much about Kodi. Can it play all kinds of videos from a USB drive?

Does Kodi play 4k and HDR? Wondering because your screenshot says 1920x1080.

that was asked before in other forums. the 1920x1080 is the app resolution not the sony tv screen resolution.

I know that it's not the TV resolution, just wasn't sure if Kodi is able to play 4k videos with full resolution and not only in full HD.

Hello everyone, I recently ordered the 65x930e from crutchfield (should have it Thursday). I am recently on my second 930d, the first one was bad out of the box, colors on the bottom 4 inches were all messed up. I have had the 2nd tv for a month and now has a pixel going out. Crutchfield was so helpful with my situation, they offered to replace it with the same tv or let me choose a different one (I opted for the 930e ). I have a 60 day price guarantee on the 930e, I'm hoping the price drops by then. cant wait to get it and set it up. I will try to answer any questions.

Geez on those specs in your pics... As rumored Sony still hasn't upgraded the smart OS SOC from what was in the x700/x800d last year.

Looks like the new chip won't be coming until the models later this year.

Bummer for those that care about the app experience. Can't believe Le Eco puts such a fast chip in their newest Android TV sets and Sony still hasn't.

Nope. The MT5891 is in my my X800D and is slow as piss since it uses the low performance Cortex A53 cores.

Looks like OS performance may not finally get good until the OLED release or later.

oh ok, the early releases of 2016, 930d and 940d had MT5890.

Yep I believe that chipset had Cortex A17 cores which were the same ones in the original C series. Also pretty slow like the A53.

Looks like Sony does chipset refresh in second half of the year instead of the beginning of the year.

Thanks for asking the owner for the specs. I came in here looking for that exact info.

Well I bit the bullet and purchased the TV from Best Buy tonight and will be getting it Thursday.

I really wanted to wait until I could see input lag tests between the 900 and 930, but I like what I've seen so far on the 930. I selfishly hope the 900 won't end up having better input lag results.

Congrats on your purchase!

I was at my Best Buy today and the 930e wasn't in stock. Curious as to what you thought of the 930e compared to the 930d or the Samsung KS9800 and KS9000? I am very interested in this TV. Thanks...and enjoy your new TV!

According to the Forbes review of the X930E, the input lag is b/w 40 - 50 ms, which is similar to the X930D. Given that X900E slots in between the X930D and X930E, we can probably expect similar input lag, which sucks, as I was hoping it would be much lower.

(I can't yet post links, but you can search for Forbes X930E review on Google to read the review).

Thanks, Blaze! The 930d was out of the question for me as it scored abysmal input lag results and that is probably my number one priority for my new TV. My second priority--which cancels out your Samsung TV's--is that I purchase Sony only. I have been a lifelong Sony customer and have never had an issue. The few times I've strayed off the path and purchased a Sammy or Vizio, I've had to return them due to severe flashlighting in both, a dead pixel in one of them, and other quality issues that only my very anal-retentive eyes would notice.

My most recent Sony purchase was the W900a released in 2014 and it has remained my favorite Sony TV of all time. Here's to hoping the 930e blows it out of the water!

(Although, Sony has been unable to get back down to 15-20ms input lag on their flagship sets since 2014--so hopefully I won't be disappointed Thursday night).
