I'm trying to decide on which tv to buy to replace my 70inch Sharp Aquos LC-70SQ15U. I've narrowed my choices down to either the Samsung UN75MU9000 or Sony XBR75X900E. I'm going over my planned budget of $2800. At the moment both of these televisions are around $3200 (the Samsung costing a little more)
From reviews I've read, the picture quality of the Sony XBR75X900E slightly edges out the Samsung UN75MU9000. But I've been reading lots of complaints about Sony's use of Android OS and lag. I do like the narrower width and lower weight of the Samsung since I will be mounting the TV. The Sony is wider but I believe that is due to being full array local dimming and not edge lit.
