Ok, here's the story with video settings for different inputs [at least on my unit, firmware version "V 2.02 M (A)"] --
There are 3 Video Modes:
Each of these Video Modes have values for:
(A) Brightness, (B) Contrast, (C) Sharpness, (D) Color, (E) Tint
The Video Mode selected (1-3) will be selected for ALL inputs. Preset and Soft Video Mode values of (A-E) cannot be changed. However, if User Video Mode is selected, its (A-E) values will be remembered for each input. So, in effect, the settings can be saved for each input as long as you use the User Video Mode. If you like the Preset or Soft Video Mode for a given input, then just change the User Video Mode values of (A-E) to match the Preset or Soft values.
What cannot be remembered for each input is the Color Temp setting, which can be one of Normal/Warm/Nature/Cool. When one of these is selected it will be selected for ALL inputs.
Note that the above conclusion was based only upon switching between 2 inputs: TV (coax) and Component (DVD player).
