I think I am going to again attempt DVI 1366x768 on my Olevia 32HVE.....Syntax Olevia's web site now states the 32HVM as supporting up to 1280x720 PC Resolution even though the native res. is 1366x768 (initially I am pretty sure they were claimimg PC supported DVI res. of 1366x768).

I have it up and running via VGA, and over the last year varied attempts with PS, my 6600, and all kinds of Nvidia drivers have yielded failure over DVI. I have tried all kinds of timings and the 32HVE just does not understand what I'm sending it; the picture was always quite a bit "off".

I wonder if Olevia can use the EDID from the 37HVM on the 32HVE since the 37" supports up to 1366x768 PC resolution. In the past they have claimed they will not create a correct EDID for the 32HVE but there has to be a way.

I am going to use the bitmap mentioned (on Entech forums) here to check how well my custom timings are working via VGA and then call Olevia again.

Any ideas on how to update the EDID? Can I use the 37" EDID? Should I give up?

If someone reads this who owns the newest 37" (HVM?), PLEASE email me. I want to use powerstrip to rip your EDID and try it on the 32.

thanks!

none of the LTxxxx models have correct edids. you can call, but there isn't going to be anything that the techs can do to help.
