Any suggestions for a flatpanel LCD HDTV if the following are required --

37" to 42"

1920x1080 resolution

HDMI input supports 1080p60 (1080p24 support would be a bonus)

1:1 pixel mapping capability

great picture quality

Been doing some research, but my head is swimming...

Try http://www.product4me.com/hdtv...

You can at least find the first four requirements (including LCD flat panel) easily enough.

Lots of sets out there in that size range. Sony, Sharp, Samsung, Vizio, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, and the list goes on forever it seems.

Get out there look at sets, prices and narrow it down. After all was said and done, I bought a Sharp 1080p set for the PQ. Up close the Sony was better side by side, but I don't view my set from 3' distance. I think the XBR sets trim looks awesome, but there was a price premium that Sony attached to their sets as well, so Sharp it was.

Also the SD was better with the Sharp than the Sony or Samsung IMO. Since most of my watching is SD still, this was a large factor.
