Here in Georgia is a recall on the LCD 46, my friend and I went to their site and there is no even a trace on this unit no more. The poping as you turn on the unit is a short going on. So everyone who has one have to returned it to the buying place. Another thing is that is discontinue.

Yes, the GV46LHDTV has been discontinued. There will be new 46" LCD's coming from VIZIO. There has not been any recall on the 46" LCD.

Could you please answer why is discontinue, and why the poping on the back as you turn on. Why was only sold by Sam's club, we already change for a 47 and Sam's is taking note regarding the issues this item has. Why is Sam's is taking it off shelfs. Why there is no information on this item at Vizio site. Humm

It is being replaced on shelves with other TVS. Not aware of the popping. Off the VIZIO site as it is no longer current.

Its the plastic around or in the LCD panel expanding and contracting. The heat causes this.

The 46" was discontinued because the 47" 1080p came out for around the same price. Look under past models and the GV46l is listed on Vizios site. http://www.vizio.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=9
