It would be great to see some pictures here as well from the owners, more people will start posting in here next week with their impressions.

Well, the empty wallspace that is awaiting my 6020 looks pretty good! I even have my studs marked and area measured and ready to install the wall mount about 2 minutes after it arrives.

GO COLTS!!!

I am starting that process this weekend for my 151. I have already ordered some stands for a center channel and a/v equipment that hopefully should be here tomorrow. But I fully intend to measure and mark my wall for the 151 on Saturday! Still trying to decide on a wallmount. Can't wait for some reviews!

Here's a pic of my 5020. I got one of those weird brown bezels on mine.

But to be serious, it would be great if new owners of the 20 series could comment on any of the following:

1) Initial impressions
2) Any audible buzz?
3) Comparison to the 8Gs if you used to have one?

I'm not sure, but I think you've got some brown push going on there.

I like your theater furniture. The chair looks comfy. Where did you get it?

Friends, lets keep it to the subject. look at the pre-release discussion which grew up to 108 pages and 3200 posts in 3 weeks. Can we all post only what's related to the thread.
Or maybe, people want me to report every hour on how excited I am to get my 6020 in the next few days. It will be very hard to find useful information here if we do not respect and follow the thread topic.

When the owners chime in I would like to get your thoughts on the reflectiveness of the 9G.

The AR coating hasn't improved over last years coating. So it will be identical to the 8Gs.

I think this thread should be called "The Official Pioneer 9G KURO Owner's Discussion Thread" while the other two sets should have a thread called "The Official Pioneer 9G KURO Elite/Signature Owner's Discussion Thread."

Thoughts?

I hope to have my 6020 tomorrow. I will post detailed pics and an initial review, which will be less detailed then the pics . I currently have an HP MD5880N (58" DLP, 1080p), that will be my reference.

Fingers crossed on delivery tomorrow...

My home theater:

For those wanting to subscribe to a thread (of which I am not doing here) without posting, open the thread, click the Thread Tools drop down menu at the top and then select Subscribe to this Thread.

Congratulations to those receiving their new "babies"!

If any of you lucky people are planning to or already have set up using OTA, I have a few questions. As many know the current 8G panels, including my 5080 have what I would call a less then stellar set of tuner search functions....I am wondering....

1. Does the new 9G allow you to do an "add search" or at least let you do a couple of searches for digitial channels without wiping out the previous search?

2. Does the 9G still include only one ATSC tuner and one NTSC tuner...or have they updated and included two ATSC tuners with this years sets?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.....and enjoy your new views!

arrrrgggggh....
trying to decide 151 or 6020... Big difference in the greenbacks for me
(online sponsor 6020 vs 151 local Tweeter price) equals roughly $1600 difference..... Will I see $1600 difference in the picture? Would I (my eyes)even notice? Will I have regrets if choose the 6020 and always wonder, what if? On the other hand I could get a 6020 an Onkyo 705 or Denon 2308, a PS3 and still have $5-600 left over......hmmmmm what to do what to do?

I just ordered my first plasma and made it a PDP-5020. I was deciding between Panny 800u and the Pioneer but decided to go with the 5020 as my main TV and I'll use my old Sammy LCD 32" in my bedroom. I hope I won't be disappointed. Thanks to all the users out there who've provided so much info on the various forum pages.

Wish me luck...now I just need to learn how to mount it and break her in properly

Tayja - My biggest problem with that wouldn't be whether or not it's worth spending the extra money for the elite, but the extra premium you pay for buying from somewhere like Tweeter. The $1600 you're paying isn't purely for the TV, it's for the retailer, so justifying the extra cash and asking whether you'll notice the quality difference, you probably will, but it's not going to be worth THAT much. I would get a 6020 for a good price and spend the rest on peripherals.
