I turned my LG 50PC5D on this evening with no problems, i then chose the input on the remote to watch a DVD. then all the sudden the screen went blank....absolutely nothing, no menu, no input or display of any kind.
i still have sound, but nothing else.
anybody have any idea what it could be? the LG isn't even a year old.

Have you done anything to narrow down the problem? Have you tried moving the DVD to some other inputs and/or tried connecting it with a different type of connection? Does the TV tuner display any picture? Can you bring up the menu on any of the other inputs at all?

If you cannot get any video of any kind to display on the screen, it's surely going to have to be repaired, hopefully at no charge under warranty.

they came and looked at it for no more than 5 minutes.
he said it was the "main board power supply"
i gotta wait for another week for them to get the board in and they call me to setup another appointment.
In the meantime, no freakin TV !
it better not make the buzzing sound that everybody speaks of when they repair it.
