Through a bit of randomness and luck, I now have a pre-owned 151FD (Aug 2008). I plan on trying DNice's settings, but I don't know if it's one of those with the "green" issue. Is there any way to tell? I'll use it mostly for movies via Netflix and gaming on my PS4 and xbone. Thanks.

My 6 year old 101FD recently started making a crackling/static-like noise from the back panel.

The picture quality is unaffected and adjusting the settings do nothing to change the abnormal sound.

I did a search and found some similar experiences, but no conclusive solution.

Anyone have an idea of what the problem might be?

I read around about that too since i was having the same crackling sound. Arcing is the reason why it's doing that. It had me worried a little but reading a post from somebody with the same issue made me relieved because he said it went away eventually. That's exactly what happened.

Red Blacks

Again I ask how to get rid of the reddish black in some scenes?

Is D-Nice (or anyone) still calibrating these? I was going to get him to do my 6020 a few years ago and never got around to it

You can obtain optimized values for these settings by performing a calibration using a meter and software.

Like ISF calibration settings, plugging in values from another TV is not a good idea. You need a meter and calibration software to determine the optimal values.

Yes. You can use the two links at the bottom of my post for information. All owner reports about their calibrations are organized by manufacturer, model, and the AVS user name of the calibrator. UMR and D-Nice have both worked on my 6010. D-Nice did a new calibration after I had to replace the main board.

I recently aquired a Kuro 5090h.

Everything was working fine (only some buzzing that I got used too) until I bumped the screen against a wall while I was doing cable management.

Now my Kuro has half of a vertical subpixel (red) line dead

I have heard of vertical lines but those go usually from the top to the bottom, but in my case it stops at the center...

It would be great if someone would be so kind as to shed a light on what the problem might be.
I have searched the web to no avail, I mostly seem to find answers to problems like this on Samsung plasmas (but always full vertical lines) that can be solved by cleaning the ribbon cables, but I have no idea if the built techniques are the same with the Kuros.
Do Pioneers even have ribbon cables that might get loose and that I could try to adjust to solve this problem?

I atached a picture of the problem to this message.

The quality of this set is so amazing. I really wish this issue was fixable

I have a Kuro 5090 and I can't have smooth travelling. That is the main reason for which I want to change my TV for OLED. For instance, when playing the opening scene of X-Men Apocalypse on blu-ray (the vertical travelling on the sand dunes) with both Oppo 103D and 203 players, the motion is not smooth and full of judder effects. Have I a wrong setting? (I'm on advance cinema mode).
