It's faith, baby! I believe mine gets better with break-in and you believe yours does get better without break-in. Besides, what else would we do with our new toys? If we watch TV 8-16 hours a day, other people get upset with us. So we do a "proxy" watch by running break-in's, kind of having our cake and eating it too.
ok, i get it, u think breaking it in is pointless, go to another thread then, instead of tallying up ur post count with something that you feel is irrelevant, or do you feel you are saving people from themselves by arguing against breaking it in?
the manual warns about static images early in the tv's life, ok, it may not be like it used to be, but i plan on gaming on this tv, maybe not for 4+ hours at a time, but i still would prefer to take the cautious approach...instead of being sorry i didn't later.
this is my 1st plasma purchase, and i dont have $ for another one, so i want to make sure i can enjoy it for a long time.
besides, the benefits of breaking it in are apparently not just in helping prevent IR or BI but in getting a better PQ
Gentlemen,Now i have a question i have a new panasonic plasma 50 inches model v20 series.I could not find any of these anti image retention tools or features like pixel orbiter & the scrolling feature in the main setup menu.Is there any section or page where i should scroll to see these features.Since i do not know wheather its enabled or disabled.
Thanks & Love
What are the settings to be used when viewing these break-in slides for the slideshow? Would I use Dnice's slideshow settings for these?
^^^^ Also +1 for the person above me that uploaded these files. Everybody elses files were non existant no more. :\\
It's at your discretion what you use, but DNice's settings have been used very frequently and with positive results. With my first plasma I simply watched 16:9 content, and when gaming kept my HUD's to a minimum for a period of time. With my newest plasma I used the slides for about 75 hours, using D-Nice's settings. I still see some image retention here and there, but nothing that concerns me. Even my old plasma still showcases light image retention here and there - but it always fades.
im such a noob and having a difficult time- with getting my new plasma up and running safely.
so the above slides- choose one or download both ?
put on sd card and how do i set to loop? is that a setting in the tv ?
and are there slide break in settings like the d nice ones listed above that i should be using?
got a gt30 60 please help me im such a mess with this stuff- and thanks for any help!!!!
Google 'D-Nice break-in and calibration procedure tc-p65vt30'; it will be found on another forum. He gives you everything you need to break-in the set and gives calibration settings once completed. Btw, there is a download for recommended slides as well (Just download to USB or SD card). Good luck!
I get lot of useful information from this forum, but still want to know more about PDP break-in (Panasonic TX-P42G30E). I've read most of the threads but I'm looking for Webapalooza' article explaining the color theory and methodology behind the break-in set of 120 images. Does anybody has this article or link to it?
